Assessment clarification letter
- 17 July 2015
I am writing with regard to the assessment of non-core subjects like Modern Foreign Languages, Dance and Drama etc and the perception of progress as demonstrated in the data drops throughout this year.
I apologise if there has been any lack of clarity on our part and felt that, based on recent conversations with parents, a fuller and clearer explanation was justified. Please can I reassure you that, regardless of the expression of progress that you may have received for your son or daughter, the staff are confident that the rates of progress in non-core subjects broadly match those nationally and will lead to positive outcomes at GCSE.
